 Prices are estimates for 8 week old puppies or older, and are subject  to change at any timedepending on specific puppies and  litters. Please remember that the puppy is actually free, you just pay the training bill.

remember, we don't charge for a puppy or dog,  you only pay the training bill. As you read the guarantee, please remember that any payment toward this training bill carries the same warranty as traditional dog purchase. We are guaranteeing a training level on a dog and, in the event of an exchange or warranty, you will be have a dog replaced at that same training level.

Your dog must have been born at Darktimber Kennels and as such will qualify for all of the following guarantees. In the event that we assist a client sell a dog not born at Darktimber Kennels, no express warranty is given or implied.

Hip guarantee. Hips must be certified by Pennhip between the ages of 4 to 6 months of age. During this certification, any dog receiving a grade of .75 or greater score will be replaced free of charge under this agreement. You must notify us within 7 days by email and by phone to verify that we are aware of any problem. If the dog has an injury, the hip guarantee is null and void. Proof of the Pennhip certification must be provided as proof.

Any dog purchased over the age of 6 months of age must be certified by Pennhip within 30 days of the date of purchase. Any dog receiving a grade of .75 or greater score will be replaced free of charge under this agreement. You must notify us within 7 days by email and by phone to verify that we are aware of any problem. If the dog has an injury, the hip guarantee is null and void.

30 day Eye guarantee. You have up to 30 days to have your dog CERF’d by a licensed veterinarian certified for this specialty. If your dog fails this cerf exam you must notify us within 7 days by email and by phone to verify that we are aware of any problem. Injuries to an eye do not qualify, genetic defect only.

If your dog has had any type of passing hip or eye certification, offa, pennhip, certification or genetic test completed through prior to the purchase of your dog, the guarantee is considered satisfied at the time of purchase.

Physical exam by a licensed Veterinarian. If the Vet finds a physical defect in the puppy or dog. You have 72 Hours after purchase or delivery of your new puppy or dog to see your vet and get a health check performed. The 72 hours does not include Saturday or Sunday. You must notify us within 24 hours of the failed vet check and provide the vet’s information so we can verify the issue or opinion. Notification must be by email and by phone to verify that we are aware of any problem. After 96 hours (excluding Saturdays and Sundays) we reserve the right to decline or approve any return of the puppy or dog. Please be aware that we will be calling the Veterinarian to verify and ask follow up questions. A second vet opinion may be required at the discretion of Dark Timber Kennels.

UNDER these circumstances we will fully honor our puppy / dog guarantee which is as follows: After notification and Upon the return of your puppy / dog, the price of the puppy / dog will be credited to your dark timber account and can be used to purchase a new Dark Timber puppy or dog. All credit's must be used within 12 months or they will be considered forfeit. If we are unable to provide a replacement within that time, Dark Timber Kennels will extend the credit time automatically. We will offer you, another purebred Labrador Puppy or Dog, of a similar breeding and same price, within 6 months, at the date of the return of your existing dog, at NO charge. You will be able to pick the puppy or dog that you want out of the litter of currently available puppies or dogs, and the same guarantee passes with the your new puppy or dog.

Under no circumstances shall a guarantee exceed the age of 24 months. Any certification completed after 24 mo of age provide no guarantees. Dogs purchased over the age of 6 months have 30 days to complete and submit any and all health testing to the appropriate agency/clinic and results must be provided to Darktimber Kennels within 7 days if a failing result is reached. Dogs purchased under 6 months of age must have all testing done prior to 6 months of age and results must be provided to Darktimber Kennels within 7 days if a failing result is reached. Failure to follow these timelines will provide no guarantees. This guarantee is void if the puppy or dog changes ownership. The guarantee is void if the dog is not akc registered under the Darktimber kennel name. Any dog not registered with the prefix of Darktimber is ineligible for any guarantee except the general health guarantee. For example, naming your dog Darktimber Foxy Roxy will secure your puppy guarantee, naming your dog Foxy Roxy would invalidate any and all guarantees other than the general health guarantee. Proof of AKC paperwork will need to be provided to Darktimber Kennels. Paperwork is required to be submitted to AKC on or before 30 days after purchase or any and all guarantees are null and void except the general 72 hour health guarantee.

Other Expectations
Expected Vet Bill. Almost all puppies and dogs go through some level of stress when they go home. This is very typical and should be expected. This stress tends to weaken the immune system of the dog and can cause small things to pop up. These are almost never a major problem, but we want you to be aware and to expect something small so you are prepared. A small vet bill of roughly a hundred dollars or so should be a good estimate anytime you bring a puppy home. Please be prepared for this.

ALL PUPPY GUARANTEES ARE FOR PUPPIES BETWEEN 8 WEEKS OF AGE TO 24 WEEKS OF AGE ONLY. IF YOU PURCHASE A DOG OLDER THAN 24 WEEKS, THE DOG GUARANTEE WILL APPLY. Things not spelled out in this guarantee are not guaranteed. Other guarantees may apply at the sole discretion of Dark Timber Kennels. unless otherwise specifically stated in the infrormation about the dog, All dogs are sold as with AKC limited registration with the exception of any dog trained by dark timber kennels to the extreme gun dog level. At the extreme gun dog level your full registration is fully included at no cost. there will be no exceptions to this registration limitation. if this is important to you, please ask any questions "prior" to purchasing your dogs training contract.

Please print this for your records as our guarantee may change from time to time. All vaccines must have been kept up to date in order for any of these guarantees to be approved. This included no less than 4 vaccines that include Parvo in them and 1 Rabies vaccine all given within the first 5 months of age. Please ask if you have any questions.

All dogs are on regular heartworm prevention. administered every month from ages over 6 weeks of age. given the increasingly aggressive strains of heartworm, dark timber kennels can not be responsible for any heartworm positive dog. given that dogs can not generally be heartworm positive until after 6 months of age, this applies more toward older dogs. Standard heartowm prevention is included in the training bill on every dog, if you would prefer to use a different prevention, that can be arranged for the additional price of whatever heartowrm prevention you wish to use.

Please remember that it is our goal to sell quality, healthy, well bred animals of the highest genetic caliber. We are putting a guarantee in writing so that there is no confusion and in a manner that is easy to locate for your records and ours.
