sailor is a mid sized, amazingly sweet yet driven lighter chesapeake Female. Sailor is 3 years old, fully trained, akc master hunter titled and has all of her health clearances.  Sailor is a fully finished, fully handling retrieving machine. Sailor will make a nice dual purpose dog, upland and duck/goose/dove dog. She quarters well, uses her nose well and manages her energy level well making her an excellent addition to any blind. Chesapeake Bay Retrievers can be, and have a reputation to be, aggressive and to independent to make an upper end dog. This is just not the case for sailor. Sailor is a once in a lifetime dog. Sailor has the temperament to hunt long distances without outrunning her nose or her desire to hunt. Sailor has been around small children, including my 2 year old daughter and multiple people at the same time and is just as sweet as can be. sailor is a nicely driven retrieve with a nice off switch. sailor is ready to hunt, compete or just hang out around the house. to put it plainly, sailor is just about a turnkey dog. sailor can do close up with with fast moving teal, sit for an afternoon in a dove field, or anything in between. If you work is 300 yards and under, there is not much you cant get Gypsy to do and make you look good doing it.
